BIG DAY

Tom will be sporting this handkerchief on his big day.
Have been enjoying the way everyone seems to spend hours trying to find the perfect way of folding the handkerchiefs.  Designing has become more complex as a result, I think I am now going to spend some time looking at folds.
Going to extract this section of the design to use on a top.  I bought a vintage hungarian top on ebay a few weeks ago. It had a really beautiful use of embroidery around the neck that I would like to play around with using this design.
Discovered a new filling stitch for the triangle that I definitely want to explore some more.

MATING SEASON part I & II

From drawing to print, I really liked the minimal colour palette used in this design.  I think i will reprint the design and play with the colour options a bit more.

DABBLING IN HANDKERCHIEFS

Finished making Ben's handkerchief last week.  I was interested in disrupting the flow of traditional handkerchief patterns.  I am thinking of playing around with the thickness of the lines a bit more so am now on the prowl for some new stitches.

PROJECT.

A couple of months ago Ay Ducane approached me to do the artwork for their forthcoming mp3 releases.  A great bunch of guys.  I have just finished the second image.  I was really interested in the sense of isolation in the song.

They will be playing next week at The Lexington on Tuesday 21 June where they will be launching the mp3 release of 'Queen and the Sultan Blues'.  Should be a treat.

With my website ideas spiralling out of control I have finally decided to give up the ghost and embrace the way of the blog.

'Helping Hands' was designed back in 2008 as a means of helping me identify my left and right.
